Integrated Textile Parks at Kalyani in Nadia, West Bengal

West Bengal Govt. has taken multiple initiatives to further develop and scale up the textile industry in the State by setting up more Textile Parks/ Apparel Parks and Common Infrastructure / Common Facility Centers at various places of the State.
These initiatives are aimed at strengthening the entire value chain, from yarn to fabric to readymade garment & apparel sector of the State by providing holistic benefits and growth opportunities to create better “Eco-System‟ and generate greater employment scope in the Textile sector.
The Government of West Bengal has also initiated action to procure fabric for manufacturing of school uniform for all govt. schools throughout the State with an impetus on indigenous manufacturing of such fabric through power-looms.
An Integrated Textile Park at Kalyani of Nadia district are being developed by the State Government through the WBSIDCL for setting up of units of pre and post loom processing units i.e., Power Looms with other Textile related Units of Spinning Mills, Sizing & Warping, Wet Processing (Dyeing), Garmenting, Calendaring, etc. on about 42.81 acres of land of the closed unit of Kalyani Spinning Mills (Unit-I) at Kalyani.
